{"id":277122,"date":"2026-06-24T21:06:08","date_gmt":"2026-06-24T21:06:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/277122\/"},"modified":"2026-06-24T21:06:08","modified_gmt":"2026-06-24T21:06:08","slug":"manhattan-invites-public-to-help-shape-safer-u-s-route-52-corridor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/277122\/","title":{"rendered":"Manhattan Invites Public to Help Shape Safer U.S. Route 52 Corridor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t<img width=\"640\" height=\"400\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/06\/WATER-TOWER-2-640x400.jpg\" class=\"object-cover wp-post-image\" alt=\"Manhattan Invites Public to Help Shape Safer U.S. Route 52 Corridor\" post-type=\"post\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"  \/>\t<\/p>\n<p>The Village of Manhattan invites residents, business owners, and corridor users to<br \/>participate in an upcoming Public Input Workshop for the Manhattan Corridor Safety Plan, an initiative<br \/>focused on improving safety along the U.S. Route 52 corridor.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop will be held on Thursday, July 16th from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Manhattan Junior High School.<br \/>The event will be conducted in an open house format, allowing attendees to stop by at any time during the<br \/>three-hour window.<\/p>\n<p>The Manhattan Corridor Safety Plan aims to identify opportunities to enhance safety for all users\u2014drivers,<br \/>pedestrians, and cyclists along one of the community\u2019s most important transportation corridors.<br \/>Community input is a critical component of the planning process, helping to ensure that the plan reflects<br \/>local experiences, concerns, and priorities.<\/p>\n<p>At the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to:<br \/>\uf0b7 Share concerns and experiences related to safety along U.S. Route 52<br \/>\uf0b7 Identify specific locations where improvements may be needed<br \/>\uf0b7 Provide input on potential strategies and concepts to enhance corridor safety<br \/>\uf0b7 Engage directly with project team members and Village representatives<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCommunity input is one of the most important parts of this planning process. The people who travel on<br \/>Route 52 every day have firsthand knowledge of the challenges and opportunities along the corridor.
