A fugitive accused of gunning down two men<\/a> in Jersey City last month has been arrested in New York City. <\/p>\n

Treshawn Daniels, 18, of Jersey City, was taken into custody by NYPD officers on Saturday, the Hudson County Prosecutor\u2019s Office<\/a> said in a Tuesday statement. He is charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder as well as second-degree weapons offenses. <\/p>\n

The fatal shooting happened shortly after 1 a.m. on May 18. Jersey City Police were responding to a report of shots fired at a home on Old Bergen Road, where they found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. <\/p>\n

The victims, Luis Quintero, 53, and Kenneth Darby, 52, both of Jersey City, were later pronounced dead at Jersey City Medical Center, authorities said. <\/p>\n

Another two suspects were previously arrested and charged in the shooting. Jahquan Porter, 25, of Jersey City, is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, terroristic threats and weapons offenses. <\/p>\n

Angelica Manning, 23, of Bayonne, is charged with attempted murder as an accomplice, aggravated assault and weapons offenses. Prosecutors did not say whether the two alleged accomplices are currently in custody. <\/p>\n

The NYPD arrested Daniels on an unrelated charged on Washington Avenue in the Bronx.
