On June 26 (Johnny Knollwood video)<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">LaBelle is well known for fronting her namesake group that produced the #1 hit \u201cLady Marmalade,\u201d off the band\u2019s iconic 1974 release, \u201cNight Birds,\u201d before launching a successful solo career with songs like \u201cIf You Only Knew,\u201d and \u201cNew Attitude.\u201d \u201cThey never know what to expect from me, because I am a very spontaneous performer,\u201d LaBelle teased ahead of the show. She wants audiences to leave Prospect Park with a sense of \u201cpeace, enjoyment, laughter, and joy \u2014 because we need joy today with everything going on,\u201d said LaBelle.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">LaBelle, who already has a large and diverse body of work, has no plans to settle down. \u201cI\u2019m recording for an R&amp;B album that I haven\u2019t had in 20 years,\u201d LaBelle told the AmNews. \u201cThat\u2019s being worked on as we speak.
