With the purchase of Century 21 Bay Benjamin, which operated in the Century 21 network alongside Century 21 Unique Realty in Astoria, the combined firm now features 30 affiliated sales professionals who serve Queens, Long Island and Westchester County.

Founder and Broker of Record Bobby Gellert has built Century 21 Shared Purpose’s reputation over the last 22 years into a trusted resource across the full spectrum of residential real estate. His 30 years of experience as an investor, operator, sponsor and owner of unsold shares has helped him develop valuable hands-on expertise in New York City’s cooperative and condominium market. The teams at Bay Benjamin and Unique Realty have similar experience in vertical housing across Queens and greater New York City, while also maintaining strong, well-established presences in single-family home sales in the region.

This marks the largest expansion by Shared Purpose since it joined the Century 21 network in 2022. Shared Purpose, Bay Benjamin and Unique Realty will now focus on building a collaborative ecosystem that enhances service and operational scale.

“My commitment to every agent who joins us is the same commitment I make to every client: I am all in,” Gellert said. “You will not be navigating this business alone. You will have a true operator in your corner, every step of the way.”

Beechhurst and Bayside, where Shared Purpose and Bay Benjamin are based, are complementary residential hubs in overlapping markets. These northeast Queens neighborhoods feature shared referrals and comparable housing stock and buyer demographics.

Century 21 Shared Purpose aims to strengthen its presence across northeast Queens, enhance operational efficiency and establish a coordinated presence in Astoria via the acquisition.

“We are going to take the time to do this right — working individually with every agent to align their business plan with our support structure, stabilize our foundation and then scale strategically,” Gellert said. “The future of Century 21 Shared Purpose is not just about more offices or more agents. It is about more impact, more fulfillment and more lives changed. We are just getting started.”

Real estate agents affiliated with the combined brokerage will have access to an international referral network, helping to complement their local expertise and community connections. Additionally, the enhanced visibility from working with one of the most recognized names in real estate can also prove beneficial for these agents.

“We are building something rarely seen in our industry: a brokerage where purpose is not a tagline — it is the operating system,” Gellert said. “This acquisition gives us the platform, resources and reach to do something the industry increasingly needs: help agents build careers that are financially sustainable and personally fulfilling — at the same time.”

Even after this purchase, Century 21 Shared Purpose is still actively pursuing additional acquisition and merger opportunities. At the same time, the firm is searching for motivated and ambitious independent sales professionals who would be interested in joining the growing brokerage.
