Braunstein (D-Bayside) is proud to announce the winners of his annual Mother\u2019s Day Essay &amp; Poetry Contest for students in grades two through five. They are:<\/p>\n<p>2nd grader: Maximus Rodriguez, Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy in Floral Park; poem untitled<br \/>\n3rd grader: Kyle Cyril Moreno, Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy in Floral Park; essay untitled<br \/>\n4th grader: Nailah Dunning, P.S. 159 in Bayside; essay titled, \u201cWhy Mothers Are So Special!\u201d<br \/>\n5th grader: Emma Rampersaud, P.S. 115 in Floral Park, essay titled, \u201cThe Reason My Mom is My Whole World.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaximus, Kyle, Nailah, Emma, and each of their families and teachers should be very proud of their award-winning compositions, which were well-written, creative, and heartwarming,\u201d said Assemblyman Ed Braunstein. \u201cThank you to all the students from schools throughout Northeast Queens who submitted entries to my office\u2019s annual contest. I wish everyone a happy and safe summer!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Each grand prize winner received an Amazon gift card and a New York State Assembly Certificate of Merit.
