Casting is now\u00a0complete for the New York premiere of Andrew Stein<\/a>‘s new play Disruption<\/a>, which will begin previews July 22 prior to an official opening August 2 Off-Broadway at The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Directed by Hersh Ellis (Rain and Zoe Save the World), the limited engagement is currently scheduled through September 13.<\/p>\n

Liberation\u00a0favorite Irene Sofia Lucio has newly joined the company in the role of Mia. Also newly cast are understudies\u00a0Octavia Chavez-Richmond (Mary Gets Hers), Carman Lacivita (To My Girls), Lauren Marcus (White Girl in Danger), and Brian Miskell (The Antipodes).<\/p>\n

They join the previously announced<\/a>\u00a0Jason Ralph<\/a> (The Magicians), Tony nominee Conrad Ricamora<\/a> (Oh, Mary!), Jasmine Sharma (Twelfth Night), Tony nominee Elizabeth Stanley<\/a> (Jagged Little Pill), Joe Tippett<\/a> (Mare of Easttown), Golden Globe nominee John David Washington<\/a> (The Piano Lesson<\/a>), and Shaunette Ren\u00e9e Wilson (The Resident). Casting is by\u00a0Stephanie Yankwitt<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Stein’s thriller asks the question, “Does anyone know what would make them truly happy?” Tech entrepreneur Nick thinks he has the answer. After Silicon Valley success and a big exit, Nick presents his three best friends with his next big idea: an algorithm that promises to guide them through big life decisions better and more effectively than they can guide themselves.<\/p>\n

The upcoming production will also have scenic and costume design by Zo\u00eb Hurwitz<\/a>, lighting design by Reza Behjat<\/a>, sound design by Caroline Eng<\/a>, video design by Yana Biry\u00fckova, property designed by Samantha Shoffner, and movement coordination by Ryan VanDenBoom<\/a>.<\/p>\n
