A ruthless teen squatter who helped beat a mother to death inside a Manhattan apartment admitted to bashing the doomed woman five times with a metal frying pan, it was revealed at her sentencing Friday.<\/p>\n
The grisly new detail was unearthed as Kensley Alston, 20, was sentenced to 20 years-to-life in prison for bludgeoning beloved mom Natalie Vitels, after the woman found her and boyfriend,Halley Tejada, <\/a>holed up in Vitels\u2019 Kips Bay apartment in 2024.<\/p>\n Alston was sentenced to 20 years-to-life in prison for the murder of 52-year-old Nadia Vitels Brigitte Stelzer\/Pool<\/p>\n Vitels\u2019 heartbroken son, Misha, 23, said in a victim impact speech that even he didn\u2019t know the gruesome detail to the murder.<\/p>\n \u201c(Alston) took the woman who had gave so much and was just about to get some back,\u201d Misha Vitels said in a victim impact statement.<\/p>\n The shattered son shared his horrors and paranoia he gets every day since his mother\u2019s sickening murder.<\/p>\n Misha Vitels made victim impact statements at both of his mother\u2019s murderers\u2019 sentences Brigitte Stelzer<\/p>\n \u201cI replay what happened in that apartment in my head constantly,\u201d Misha said, \u201cI can\u2019t feel secure anywhere.\u201d<\/p>\n Alston, who appeared in a pink polo shirt and jeans, mustered up a soft-spoken \u201cI\u2019m sorry\u201d when given the chance to speak before Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Rachel Pauley issued the sentence.<\/p>\n Alston, who was 18 at the time, and her boyfriend Halley Tejada, then 19, had been squatting for days inside Vitels\u2019 vacant apartment before the doomed mom came home and found them, Manhattan prosecutors have said.<\/p>\n Vitels demanded they leave \u2014 but the duo went off the rails and threatened to kill her.<\/p>\n They then chased Vitels to a bedroom, where they beat her to death.<\/p>\n At one point during the attack, the callous Alston allegedly told Tejada to put shoes on<\/a> while kicking his victim so he didn\u2019t hurt his feet. <\/p>\n They eventually stuffed Vitels\u2019 body inside a duffle bag and put it in a closet \u2014 while she was still breathing, officials said.<\/p>\n Halley Tejada Steven Hirsch for NY Post<\/p>\n The victim was found two days later.<\/p>\n Vitels\u2019 injuries included skull fractures and broken ribs \u2014 injuries prosecutors have described consistent to being \u201cstruck by a train\u201d or falling from great heights.<\/p>\n The couple tried to make a getaway by stealing Vitels\u2019 Lexus SUV until they were arrested nine days later by the feds in Pennsylvania<\/a>.<\/p>\n Steven Hirsch for NY Post<\/p>\n
