New York and Massachusetts have just joined the ranks of US states that no longer have any Hooters outlets amid the breast-centered burger and wing chain\u2019s ongoing battle with bankruptcy.<\/p>\n

The Hooters on 70 Wolf Road in Colonie \u2014 the chain\u2019s last holdout in the Empire State \u2014 went bust earlier this month after 15 years, as confirmed by a sign on the door, News 10 reported.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cAfter much deliberation, we\u2019ve made the difficult decision to close this location,\u201d it read. \u201cWe are incredibly grateful for the many years of great times, cold beer, hot wings, and unforgettable memories shared here. Thank you to our guests, team members, and community for the support over the years.\u201d<\/p>\n The now-defunct Hooters in Colonie, NY. NEWS10<\/p>\n The last three Hooters locations in Massachusetts, including this one in West Springfield, have all shuttered. WWLP<\/p>\n Mourners eulogized the outlet on Reddit, <\/a>with one fan joking that it \u201cwent bust\u201d while another wrote, \u201cI just fell to my knees.\u201d<\/p>\n This followed the March closure of Big Apple\u2019s only remaining branch of the breast-restaurant<\/a>, known for its bar food and buxom staffers bearing the chain\u2019s official uniform \u2014 skimpy orange shorts and white T-shirts emblazoned with the iconic owl logo.<\/p>\n The Hooters in Minnesota\u2019s Mall of America shuttered in March, marking the end of the company\u2019s foothold in the Land of Lakes. They subsequently closed 30 corporate-owned restaurants across the country. <\/p>\n In an effort to keep from going under, the chain decided to undergo a more \u201cfamily-friendly\u201d rebrand after the founders bought back most of the restaurant last year<\/p>\n
