Broadway says goodbye to both\u00a0Death Becomes Her<\/a> at the Lunt-Fontanne and\u00a0The Fear of 13<\/a> at the James Earl Jones June 28.<\/p>\n

The former is giving its final performance after opening November 21, 2024. The musical brings the 1992 cult classic film to the stage, following two rivals who gain eternal youth via a magic potion with some dirty side effects. Tony winner Christopher Gattelli<\/a> directs and choreographs, with a book by Marco Pennette<\/a> (adapted from the screenplay by Martin Donovan<\/a> and David Koepp<\/a>) and songs by Julia Mattison<\/a> and Noel Carey<\/a>.\u00a0The musical is scheduled to embark on a national tour beginning in September at Cleveland, Ohio’s Playhouse Square, as previously announced<\/a>. Currently leading the cast are Betsy Wolfe<\/a> as Madeline Ashton and Jennifer Simard<\/a> as Helen Sharp, along with Christopher Sieber<\/a> as Ernest Menville, Michelle Williams<\/a> as Violet Van Horn, Taurean Everett<\/a> as Chagall, and Josh Lamon<\/a> as Stefan.<\/p>\n

The Fear of 13 quietly canceled its final two weeks of performances earlier this month<\/a>, with the Lindsey Ferrentino-penned play having originally been announced to continue through July 12.<\/p>\n

Directed by David Cromer<\/a>, the production stars two-time Oscar winner Adrien Brody<\/a> (The Brutalist) and recent Golden Globe nominee Tessa Thompson<\/a> (Hedda), both making their Broadway debuts leading the cast.
