{"id":280274,"date":"2026-06-28T05:52:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-28T05:52:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/280274\/"},"modified":"2026-06-28T05:52:10","modified_gmt":"2026-06-28T05:52:10","slug":"two-men-stabbed-one-fatally-at-brooklyns-dyker-beach-park","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/280274\/","title":{"rendered":"Two men stabbed, one fatally, at Brooklyn&#8217;s Dyker Beach Park"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-block-key=\"s08bl\">Two men were stabbed \u2014 one fatally \u2014 at a busy Brooklyn park on Saturday afternoon, according to the NYPD.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"7n67a\">Police said the incident happened just before 2 p.m. at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nycgovparks.org\/parks\/dyker-beach-park\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">Dyker Beach Park<\/a> in Dyker Heights, which is home to a number of baseball and soccer fields, handball and basketball courts, playgrounds and a golf course.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"6vqfd\">Officials said a 30-year-old man and a 21-year-old man were both stabbed several times in their chests near 86th Street and 14th Avenue, which is the park\u2019s eastern corner, and includes a playground and other recreational areas.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"552g\">First responders took both men to Maimonides Hospital in critical condition. Police said the 21-year-man later died from his injuries. They did not immediately release his name as they worked to notify his family.<\/p>\n<p data-block-key=\"8em5\">Officials said Saturday evening that a person of interest was in custody in connection to the violence, but did not immediately identify them or specify any charges.
