{"id":280450,"date":"2026-06-28T14:58:53","date_gmt":"2026-06-28T14:58:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/280450\/"},"modified":"2026-06-28T14:58:53","modified_gmt":"2026-06-28T14:58:53","slug":"news-12-brooklyn-six-flags-restores-historic-runaway-train-roller-coaster-to-classic-look","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/280450\/","title":{"rendered":"News 12 | Brooklyn | Six Flags Restores Historic Runaway Train Roller Coaster To Classic Look"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Six Flags Great Adventure has continued the restoration of its historic Runaway Train roller coaster by repainting the attraction in one of its original color schemes.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The park announced Friday that the restoration is intended to return the coaster to a classic appearance while honoring one of the attractions that has been part of the park since it opened in 1974.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Runaway Train debuted during Six Flags Great Adventure&#8217;s inaugural season and has remained one of the park&#8217;s signature attractions for more than five decades.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">&#8220;Runaway Train is more than a roller coaster.
