A deal for a full-floor residence at 565 Broome Street<\/a> topped Manhattan\u2019s luxury contracts, inching out a former Victoria\u2019s Secret CEO\u2019s townhouse.<\/p>\n

The contract was one of 27 signed for homes asking at least $4 million between June 22 and June 28, according to a report from Olshan Realty. Buyers signed deals for 17 condos, eight co-ops and two townhouses. Contract volume for the week was $190 million, down from $203 million the week prior. Homes entering contract last week had a median asking price of $7 million and an average discount of 6 percent.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The last four weeks were nearly flat compared to last year, with 126 contracts signed in Manhattan\u2019s luxury market this year compared to 124 last year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The unit at 565 Broome Street had a last asking price of $19 million, down from the $21 million the condo was priced at when the building launched sales in 2016.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Unit S28A was the last full-floor residence available for purchase from the sponsor. The roughly 4,700-square foot home has four bedrooms, five full bathrooms and comes fully-furnished from Italian furnishing house Poltrona Frau, according to StreetEasy.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The home has a 40-foot great room with views of the Hudson River. The primary suite has walk-in closets and dual windowed bathrooms.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Douglas Elliman\u2019s Marc Palermo, Andrew Anderson and M Monica Novo had the listing.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Developed by Bizzi & Partners, Aronov Development and Halpern Real Estate, the condo has attracted a number of celebrity buyers with its paparazzi-proof gated driveway and automated parking system.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In 2017, tennis star Novak Djokovic spent $11 million on two units in the building and in 2018, former Uber CEO Travis Kalanick bought a penthouse<\/a> at the building for $36.4 million.\u00a0 The building also has a 55-foot indoor lap pool, steam room and sauna and fitness center.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sales launched at the 115-unit building in 2016.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The second priciest contract signed last week was for a townhouse at 481 West 22nd Street asking $12.5 million.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The sellers were John Mehas, a former executive at Tory Burch, Victoria\u2019s Secret and Vineyard Vines, and his wife, Carol, a former executive at L\u2019Oreal. The couple bought the home for $3.7 million in 2007, according to public records.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Spanning 5,000 square feet, the home has four bedrooms, five bathrooms and 1,250 square feet of outdoor space spread between front and rear gardens, a library-adjacent terrace and two top-floor terraces.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

The full-floor primary suite has a fireplace, dressing room and marble bathroom with a steam shower and soaking tub. The top floor has a family room with glass walls that opens to the terraces on each end.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
