JACKSON HEIGHTS, Queens (WABC) — Police are searching for a suspect after a woman was stabbed on board a subway train in Queens on Monday.<\/p>\n

NYPD officials say officers responded to the Jackson Heights – Roosevelt Avenue station on Roosevelt Avenue and 74th Street in Jackson Heights around 2:20 p.m. for reports of a person stabbed.<\/p>\n

When officers arrived, they found a 31-year-old woman with a stab wound to her hand and neck.<\/p>\n

Police say it appeared the victim was riding aboard a northbound E train when she was stabbed by the unidentified suspect.<\/p>\n

The suspect fled from the location, and the victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital where she’s expected to recover.<\/p>\n

There are no arrests, and the investigation remains ongoing.<\/p>\n
