BAYCHESTER, Bronx (WABC) — New York City’s Health Department says the rodeo in the Bronx where a man was injured last night did not have a permit.<\/p>\n

The victim, a man in his 30s, was slammed to the ground at the show Monday night in Baychester.<\/p>\n

That’s when the bull charged him<\/a>, causing cuts to his face.<\/p>\n

An off-duty EMT provided aid until an ambulance arrived. The injured rider was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals\/Jacobi where he’s recovering.<\/p>\n

Under the New York City Health Code, certain exhibitions involving animals require a permit from the Health Department’s Veterinary Public Health Services program.<\/p>\n
