(WFSB) &#8211; A man was arrested after allegedly firing a gun into the air during a disturbance on Sunday afternoon in Waterbury, according to police.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The man was identified as William Pichardo, 51, of the Bronx, NY.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The incident happened around 1:53 p.m. near Chase Avenue and Cooke Street.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Police found several spent shell casings in the area. They said nobody was hurt and there was no property damage in the area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Pichardo was taken into custody and charged with second degree breach of peace, unlawful discharge of a firearm, first degree reckless endangerment, illegal sale and transfer of a firearm, and carrying of pistol\/revolver without a permit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">He was given a $500k bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Monday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Police have not clarified what disturbance led to this incident.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WFSB.
