A 93-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash when a biker riding a motorcycle slammed into her as she crossed a Bronx road Monday, cops said.<\/p>\n
The victim was crossing E. 225th St. heading south on White Plains Road in Wakefield when the biker struck her in the crosswalk around 2:30 p.m., according to law enforcement.<\/p>\n
A witness was chatting with friends on a nearby sidewalk when he saw the motorcyclist slam into the elderly pedestrian.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was speeding,\u201d said Junior Manes, a 30-year-old construction worker. \u201cShe was crossing in the crosswalk, and he hit her. She flew up in the air and landed over by the dumpster, but in the road, like 25 feet.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cShe was face down,\u201d he added. \u201cHer face and forehead were bleeding, oozing.\u201d<\/p>\n
Video obtained by the Daily News shows the victim tumbling multiple car lengths across the pavement just moments after she\u2019s been struck, the motorbike zooming past her as she comes to a stop on the pavement.<\/p>\n
Manes said he watched as the man stopped his bike, looked at the victim and then \u201ckept going.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s real tragedy,\u201d said Manes. \u201cSad, so sad.\u201d<\/p>\n
The victim\u2019s grandson arrived at the scene shortly after the crash, Manes said.<\/p>\n
\u201cHer grandson was looking at her by the curb,\u201d said the witness. \u201cHe said he\u2019d just left her to get her some food. He was shocked to see her on the floor.\u201d<\/p>\n
Medics rushed the victim to Jacobi Medical Center<\/a>, where she died.<\/p>\n The driver of the grey, red and white bike fled the scene, said police.<\/p>\n There were no arrests.<\/p>\n
