The verbal dispute escalated into violence when the perpetrator pulled out a knife and allegedly stabbed her in her neck and hand, police said. Following the attack, the suspect ran off the train and out of the station onto Broadway. <\/p>\n<p>EMS transported the wounded woman to Elmhurst Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.\n<\/p>\n<p>The victim would not tell detectives from the 110th Precinct what the verbal dispute was about, according to a law enforcement source familiar with the investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect is described as a bald man with a light complexion who is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall. There is no description of the attacker\u2019s clothing, an NYPD spokeswoman said Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone with information regarding this investigation is asked to call the NYPD\u2019s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 888-57-PISTA (74782). All calls and messages are kept confidential.<\/p>\n<p>Through June 28, the 110th Precinct has reported 317 felony assaults so far in 2026,\u00a0 19 more than the 298 reported at the same point last year, an increase of 6.4%, according to the most recent CompStat report.
