New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani remained tight-lipped during a press conference when asked about rumors of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden. The mayor moved the discussion from the wedding question to a public service announcement, drawing further attention to the rumored wedding.

Zohran Mamdani has added new attention to ongoing speculation about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s rumored wedding plans in NYC

Speaking at a June 30 press conference, the mayor said, as quoted by OK! Magazine, “My recommendation to all New Yorkers is to stay inside and stay cool. And if you happen to be getting married at Madison Square Garden, you will be staying inside, and you will be staying cool. I think it’s a good example to set for the city at large.”

Mamdani then added a video on X writing, “What you should know about the historic heat wave headed our way. According to TMZ, sources with direct knowledge said that a permit has been filed with New York City to close streets surrounding MSG from July 2 through July 4 in connection with the planned event. City sources said the permit office is working with the NYPD on managing potential traffic and pedestrian flow near the venue.

For their wedding, Swift and Kelce are reportedly handpicking their guest list. The Sun reports that Swift’s close friend Gigi Hadid is likely to be one of her bridesmaids, alongside Selena Gomez and the Haim sisters. According to Heart, the guest list includes names such as Ed Sheeran, Suki Waterhouse, Graham Norton, Zoë Kravitz, Jack Antonoff, Jason and Kylie Kelce, Andy Reid, and George Kittle.
