When President Trump\u2019s annual financial disclosure was released on Tuesday, it showed that he reaped at least $2.2 billion<\/a> from his various businesses last year, a singular haul for a president. Many of the gains stemmed from ventures that intersect with his administration, posing unparalleled potential conflicts of interest.<\/p>\n

The White House rejected the idea the president is using his power for his personal benefit. \u201cNeither the president nor his family has ever engaged \u2014 or will ever engage \u2014 in conflicts of interest,\u201d said Anna Kelly, a White House spokeswoman.<\/p>\n

Here are some of the biggest moneymakers for Mr. Trump and how they could be affected by his administration\u2019s policies:<\/p>\n

Cryptocurrency<\/p>\n

The Trump administration has eased enforcement<\/a> of crypto companies and rolled back regulations, even as the president and his family have embraced the industry and launched their own crypto company. In 2025, Mr. Trump made $1.4 billion from his family\u2019s cryptocurrency businesse<\/a>s, the bulk of his overall revenue.<\/p>\n

World Liberty Financial<\/p>\n

Last year, an investment firm tied to the United Arab Emirates, a key U.S. ally, bought nearly half<\/a> of the Trump family\u2019s main crypto company, World Liberty Financial. Four months later, the Emiratis struck a deal<\/a> with the Trump administration \u2014 over the objections of some national security officials \u2014 for the export of valuable computer chips that power artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n

The earnings from foreign investment were $263 million.<\/p>\n

$TRUMP memecoin sales<\/p>\n

Mr. Trump launched<\/a> his own memecoin three days before his inauguration as his supporters and top industry executives gathered in Washington for an event dubbed the Crypto Ball. In the following months, the S.E.C. issued<\/a> two statements<\/a> announcing that the novelty digital assets are not subject to regulatory oversight because they are not considered securities.<\/p>\n

The earnings were $636 million.<\/p>\n

Stablecoin<\/p>\n

In March 2025, World Liberty launched<\/a> a digital currency called a stablecoin, a form of cryptocurrency pegged to an actual asset like the U.S. dollar. Two months later, a U.A.E. firm transferred $2 billion<\/a> into the new coin, the largest single stablecoin transaction in the industry\u2019s history, boosting profits from the Trump family and its investors. In July 2025, Mr. Trump signed<\/a> legislation promoting stablecoins.<\/p>\n
