Authorities found the 24-year-old with gunshot wounds to his face and chest. Emergency responders transported him to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn, where he was pronounced dead.<\/p>\n<p>No arrests have been announced, and investigators have not identified a suspect or disclosed a possible motive. The investigation remains active.<\/p>\n<p>Briscoe Bands\u2019s mother, Christine Roach, urged authorities to identify the shooter and expressed confidence the case would be solved.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis world is crazy,\u201d she told the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/2026\/07\/01\/brooklyn-man-24-shot-to-death-near-coney-island-boardwalk\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Daily News<\/a>. \u201cHe didn\u2019t bother nobody. Mark my words, this murderer will be caught, and he will be prosecuted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She suggested her son\u2019s growing success in the music industry may have contributed to the violence.<\/p>\n<p>Brooklyn Drill Rapper Briscoe Bands Shot To Death Near Coney Island Broardwalk<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s what all this was about. Envy and jealousy,\u201d Roach said. \u201cHis career was taking off. He was a young Black man coming up in the music business.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Briscoe Bands was signed to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/richbloccrecords\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Rich Blocc Records<\/a>. The label paid tribute on Instagram, writing, \u201cDamn baby boy I love ya soul.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Briscoe Bands lived in Brooklyn\u2019s Bedford-Stuyvesant neighborhood. He regularly traveled to Coney Island with his girlfriend, per mom.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe don\u2019t know what happened,\u201d she said. \u201cWe\u2019re very much affected by this loss. My family doesn\u2019t go through things like this.
