(WIBW) &#8211; A man was behind bars in the Riley County Jail on a $300,000 bond following his Wednesday arrest in connection with violating the offender registration act and other offenses, officials said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The arrested man was identified as Joseph Jonathan Macias, 37, of Manhattan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Riley County police officers arrested Macias around 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of Vattier Street in Manhattan.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"A man was being held in the Riley County Jail on a $300,000 bond following his Thursday arrest...\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/GLDOPRYRXFLF3FZN7AYR5W2PYM.jpg\" width=\"980\" height=\"580\" \/>A man was being held in the Riley County Jail on a $300,000 bond following his Thursday arrest in connection with violating the offender registration act and other offenses, officials said.(KWCH)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Macias was subsequently booked into the Riley County Jail on a Riley County District Court warrant charging him with 33 counts of violating the Kansas Offender Registration Act; 17 counts of perjury; and nine counts of aggravated violation of the Kansas Offender Registration Act.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Mcias remained in the Riley County Jail on Thursday morning, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WIBW.
