STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. \u2014 The Riverside Opera Company celebrates its 27th season with \u201cOpera Uncorked,\u201d a concert that features winners of recent auditions with an orchestra that has graced the stage of Carnegie Hall. <\/p>\n
The performance of arias and duets are set for Saturday, Nov. 8, at 8 p.m. in St. Teresa\u2019s R.C. Church in Castleton Corners, where there\u2019s plenty of free parking.<\/p>\n
Students and children will be admitted free of charge. <\/p>\n

He also has recorded with the Russian National Orchestra.<\/p>\n Stephanie Foster, a soprano from Boston, Mass., has begun a vibrant artistic career as a multi-faceted musician and teacher. <\/p>\n After beginning piano lessons at 6, she continued to blossom creatively through theater, dance, local and statewide choirs, and speech and debate. <\/p>\n Over the past several years, she\u2019s been awarded a variety of performance opportunities in the United States and in Europe, ranging from full-scale operatic and musical theater productions to recitals and oratorios.<\/p>\n Cassandra Douglas is an opera singer from Brooklyn, who was raised in Kingston, Jamaica. <\/p>\n She has performed nationally and internationally with opera companies and choirs and recently sang at the Lyric Opera of Chicago, performing in the production of \u201cChampion.” <\/p>\n Douglas made her debut as a soloist with Vincer\u00f2 Academy in Carnegie Hall\u2019s Weill Recital Hall. <\/p>\n Korean-American Baritone Will (June Young) Kim received his bachelor\u2019s degree in music from Indiana University Bloomington in composition with a minor in voice, studying under Peter Volpe. <\/p>\n He holds a master\u2019s degree in composition from HMT M\u00fcnchen and a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Composition from HMDK Stuttgart. <\/p>\n Since 2022, he has been pursuing a master\u2019s degree in voice (Neue Musik) at HMDK Stuttgart, studying under Yeree Suh and Angelika Luz. <\/p>\n Recent engagements include Bach\u2019s oratorio works with Jos van Veldhoven and Hans-Christoph Rademann in Stuttgart, Bach\u2019s Coffee Cantata in Prangins, a production of La Traviata in Sulz am Glatt, and Die Fledermaus in T\u00fcbingen. <\/p>\n Engagements for contemporary music include concerts in Stuttgart, Bonn, Halberstadt, Graz, and Milan. <\/p>\n As a 2025 Tanglewood Fellow, he performed as a soloist with Harry Christophers & The Sixteen, gave recitals of traditional\/contemporary repertoire, and portrayed the Clock in Ravel\u2019s L\u2019Enfant. <\/p>\n In January 2026, he will be singing at Carnegie Hall as part of the SongStudio program. <\/p>\n If you purchase a product or register for an account through a link on our site, we may receive compensation.
