There are few party strategies more quintessentially New York than a highly curated table plated to serve takeout. With the culinary world at your doorstep, why would you ever cook? For interior designer Noah Ruttenberg<\/a>, one of AD\u2019s New American Voices, and Phantila Phataraprasit, founder of Brooklyn-based furniture brand Sabai<\/a>, a DIY mentality is central to their hosting style<\/a>\u2014no matter where the food comes from.<\/p>\n

In the lofted kitchen located in the Sabai showroom<\/a>, modern Murano glassware<\/a> and vintage flatware<\/a> artfully coincide on a stainless steel, eye-shaped table designed by Ruttenberg<\/a> himself. Vases filled with alliums and a carved wooden duck serve as the focal point for the laid-back gathering.
