{"id":286340,"date":"2026-07-03T23:54:29","date_gmt":"2026-07-03T23:54:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/286340\/"},"modified":"2026-07-03T23:54:29","modified_gmt":"2026-07-03T23:54:29","slug":"news-12-brooklyn-teen-moped-passenger-dies-after-crash-on-jetty-in-sunset-parks-made-bush-terminal-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/286340\/","title":{"rendered":"News 12 | Brooklyn | Teen Moped Passenger Dies After Crash On Jetty In Sunset Parks Made Bush Terminal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">A teenage boy who was riding on the back of a moped was killed after it crashed on a jetty inside Sunset Park&#8217;s MADE Bush Terminal, according to police and law enforcement sources.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The NYPD says a 17-year-old boy was driving the 2023 ZNEN moped when he lost control just before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, sending his passenger airborne.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The passenger sustained severe head trauma and was rushed to NYU Langone Hospital &#8211; Brooklyn, where he died.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Police sources tell News 12 that the 17-year-old driver suffered minor injuries.
