{"id":286437,"date":"2026-07-04T01:56:07","date_gmt":"2026-07-04T01:56:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/286437\/"},"modified":"2026-07-04T01:56:07","modified_gmt":"2026-07-04T01:56:07","slug":"nyc-announces-financing-for-229-homes-in-the-bronx","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/286437\/","title":{"rendered":"NYC announces financing for 229 homes in the Bronx"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nyc.gov\/mayors-office\/news\/2026\/07\/mamdani-administration-announces-financial-closing-for-sol-on-pa\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">New York City has closed on $214 million in financing<\/a> for the construction of new affordable housing at the New York City Housing Authority\u2019s (NYCHA) Morris Houses campus in<a href=\"https:\/\/nyc.urbanize.city\/neighborhood\/bronx\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> the Bronx.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The Sol on Park project, which is being co-developed by The NRP Group and Selfhelp Realty Group, calls for the construction of 229 affordable homes for seniors, 8,100 square feet of community facility space, and a new pedestrian plaza. That includes 80 apartments for existing residents of Morris Houses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNew Yorkers need housing relief, and we\u2019re using every tool at our disposal to deliver it,&#8221; said Mayor Mamdani in a news release. &#8220;Sol on Park project will create more than 200 permanently affordable homes for older New Yorkers while strengthening the Morris Houses community.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The project will include services provided by Union Community Health Center and Green Bronx Machine\u2019s National Health &amp; Wellness Center.
