{"id":286657,"date":"2026-07-04T14:24:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-04T14:24:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/286657\/"},"modified":"2026-07-04T14:24:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-04T14:24:08","slug":"new-york-state-police-arrest-auburn-deputy-in-alleged-sex-abuse-of-minor-case","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/286657\/","title":{"rendered":"New York State Police arrest Auburn deputy in alleged sex abuse of minor case"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CAYUGA COUNTY, N.Y. \u2014 New York State Police arrested a Cayuga County sheriff\u2019s deputy from Auburn on Friday following an investigation into what authorities described as an inappropriate relationship with a minor.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter Lawrence, 25, of Auburn, was arrested on July 3rd after investigators determined he engaged in multiple sexual encounters over an extended period of time with a victim under the age of 17, according to state police. Authorities said the incidents occurred while the victim was at different ages, leading to multiple charges under New York state law.<\/p>\n<p>Lawrence is employed as a deputy with the Cayuga County Sheriff\u2019s Office.
