ALDERSON, WV (WVNS) \u2013 Alderson\u2019s 4th of July Parade featured around 2 hours\u2019 worth of all kinds of people spreading some Patriotic cheer.<\/p>\n
Firemen\u2019s Rodeo gets Alderson\u2019s 65th annual 4th of July celebrations rolling <\/a><\/p>\n Local and state elected officials, George Washington himself, motorcycles, cars, tractors, trucks, local businesses, and parade floats galore marched down the streets that were lined with folks from all over. Who could forget all the different pageant queens who got their time in the sun, especially the 2026 Miss Fireworks and Miss Fireworks Teen, who have loved their time so far at their celebrations. 2026 Miss Fireworks \u2013 Brooke Patterson \u2013 told 59News this festival is definitely more their speed with events like the Firemen\u2019s Rodeo that had some fun for the kids near the end of that night.<\/p>\n \u201cI am definitely a little bit more southern and country myself. So, seeing everybody splashing in the water, I mean the little kids were jumping in [the totes]. They were like scooping buckets of water out trying to, but all the kids jumped in and were like, \u2018Would you guys come with us?\u2019 We were all dressed up and were like, \u2018Yeah, we\u2019ll get in,\u2019 said Patterson.<\/p>\n Gracelyn Hunter is the 2026 Miss Fireworks Teen.<\/p>\n Together, Patterson and Hunter had big plans for Saturday night leading up to their fireworks display.<\/p>\n \u201cOne of our favorite new traditions, we kind of started ourselves, I believe \u201cBesTitle in Lewisburg donated some crowns, so we are actually going to be crowning all your little girls, so they feel like princesses for the day too,\u201d added Patterson.<\/p>\n After the parade finished its course, the two handed out awards to some of the top parade entries. Saturday was action-packed with events going on all day long. In the midst of all the fun games and events, these two are making sure this landmark celebration is one to remember for Alderson.<\/p>\n
