(WIBW) &#8211; Riley County Police officials are reporting the attempted theft of two Kia cars on Sunday in Manhattan.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The first attempted theft was reported around 8:11 a.m. Sunday in the 4400 block of Tuttle Creek Boulevard.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Officers filed a report of criminal damage to property and attempted theft of property or services in that case.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"Riley County Police officials are reporting the attempted theft of two Kia cars on Sunday in...\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/USU6LMJSURIUJHWNFMYQOE27AE.jpg\" width=\"980\" height=\"550\" \/>Riley County Police officials are reporting the attempted theft of two Kia cars on Sunday in Manhattan.(WIBW)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">A 22-year-old woman was listed as the victim when it was reported that an unknown person forcibly entered her 2023 Kia Sportage while attempting to steal it. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The total estimated loss associated with this case has not yet been determined.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">In the second case, officers filed a report of burglary, criminal damage to property and attempted theft of property or services around 3:07 p.m. Sunday, also in the 4400 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">A 28-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man were listed as the victims when it was reported an unknown person damaged the steering column of a 2015 Kia Sportage while attempting to steal the vehicle. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The total estimated loss associated with this case was more than $1,000.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">There were no reports of arrests, and additional details weren\u2019t immediately available on Monday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Anyone with information on the incidents may call Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers at 785-539-7777.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WIBW.
