VIDEO: US COAST GUARD RESCUES SEVERAL PEOPLE TRAPPED IN CAVE AT CALIFORNIA BEACH<\/a><\/p>\n According to an FDNY social media post, emergency crews responded to reports of a vessel with multiple people on board that was taking on water and sinking in Eastchester Bay.<\/a><\/p>\n The New York City Fire Department rescued numerous passengers after their boat began to sank.\u00a0<\/p>\n (@FDNY\/X \/ FOX Weather)<\/p>\n FDNY <\/a>Marine 2 and Marine 4 arrived on the scene within minutes and found a partially submerged 30-foot cabin cruiser. Several passengers were clinging to the vessel, while others were in the surrounding waters.<\/p>\n Emergency crews immediately began rescue operations, pulling five victims from the water. Additional crews soon arrived on the scene to assist with the rescue.<\/p>\n HOW TO WATCH FOX WEATHER<\/a><\/p>\n While evaluating the rescued passengers, authorities discovered that an eighth person was still missing and had last been seen clinging to a cooler that was drifting toward shore.<\/p>\n FDNY arrived on the scene within minutes and found a partially submerged 30-foot cabin cruiser.\u00a0<\/p>\n (@FDNY\/X \/ FOX Weather)<\/p>\n Marine 2 <\/a>conducted a search of the area and located the victim about half a mile from the sunken boat.
