The lineup has been revealed for 92NY’s\u00a0American Songbook and Lyrics & Lyricists concerts for\u00a0the 2026-2027 season, which will feature performances by\u00a0Stephen\u00a0Schwartz, Jason Robert Brown,\u00a0Shaina Taub<\/a>, and more.<\/p>\n

The American Songbook\u00a0season will kick off with\u00a0Patti\u00a0LuPone: A Life in Notes\u00a0October 1.\u00a0Conceived by Scott Wittman<\/a> and\u00a0written by\u00a0Jeffrey Richman<\/a>, the concert pays tribute to LuPone’s remarkable career,\u00a0weaving songs and stories together.\u00a0Music direction and arrangements are by Joseph Thalken<\/a>.<\/p>\n

An Evening with LaChanze\u00a0will be staged February 22, offering audiences the opportunity to witness the\u00a0powerhouse vocals and\u00a0magnetic stage presence\u00a0that\u00a0has resonated with audiences on Broadway and beyond for nearly four decades.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Wicked and\u00a0Pippin songwriter\u00a0Stephen Schwartz<\/a> will perform June 12-14 for a celebration of his work, featuring performances of hits like\u00a0 \u201cDefying Gravity,\u201d \u201cFor Good,\u201d \u201cCorner of the Sky,\u201d \u201cDay by Day,\u201d \u201cColors of the Wind,\u201d \u201cWhen You Believe,\u201d and more.<\/p>\n

Planned for the Lyrics & Lyricists season are concert evenings with Andr\u00e9a Burns<\/a>, performing the work of Joan Baez (November 7-9); Stephin Merritt (December 18); Shaina Taub (January 28, 2027); Jason Robert Brown, in a performance set to include material from his upcoming musicals Less and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (March 1, 2027); and Brandon Victor Dixon, exploring the work of Ray Charles<\/a> (March 13-15).<\/p>\n
