New York, N.Y. –\u00a0On Tuesday, July 21 at 7:30 pm,\u00a0Naumburg Orchestral Concerts<\/a>\u00a0presents Orchestra of St. Luke’s, led by conductor Brad Lubman, and guest mezzo-soprano Erin Wagner\u00a0at the Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park (mid-park at 72nd St.). The concert is free and will be broadcast\u00a0live and streamed on WQXR.<\/p>\n


\n <\/p>\n

The program is part of the series’ season-long celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Walter W. Naumburg International Competition. 2021 winner Erin Wagner – praised for her “absolute mastery” by\u00a0Opera News\u00a0– joins OSL for this all-Mozart program. Selections include arias from\u00a0Le nozze di Figaro\u00a0and\u00a0Idomeneo\u00a0alongside “Vado, me dove?” and “Alma grande e nobil core,” Symphony No. 21, “Eiene Kleine Nachtmusik,” and more<\/p>\n

About the Naumburg Orchestral Concerts<\/p>\n


\n <\/p>\n

Since 1905, the\u00a0Naumburg Orchestral Concerts<\/a>\u00a0has continuously presented free, outdoor classical music concerts to New Yorkers of all walks of life. It is the oldest such concert series in the world. Named after founder and philanthropist Elkan Naumburg, who donated the Naumburg Bandshell to New York City in 1923, and inspired by his own ardent love of music, the series seeks to stimulate and encourage new and expanded audiences for classical music in the informal and beautiful setting of Central Park.<\/p>\n
