July 8 (UPI) — Detroit Lions<\/a> wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and longtime girlfriend Brooklyn Adams are engaged, they announced on social media.<\/p>\n

St. Brown and Adams, who started to date in high school, made the announcement Tuesday<\/a> night. He proposed while onboard a yacht decorated with white flowers.\n<\/p>\n

The couple each wore white outfits while serenaded by a violinist at sunset.<\/p>\n

“Hard launch,” Adams wrote for a caption on an Instagram post, which featured several photos and videos from the proposal.<\/p>\n

Actor and Lions fan Taylor Lautner<\/a>, Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams, Atlanta Falcons star Drake London, Los Angeles Chargers veteran Keenan Allen<\/a> and several of St. Brown’s teammates, including Jared Goff<\/a>, wrote congratulatory messages on the joint social media post.\n<\/p>\n

Adams told People that the couple<\/a> purchased a home together after she graduated nursing school in 2024. The couple dated for about a decade before their engagement.<\/p>\n

St. Brown, 26, totaled 1,401 yards and 11 scores off 117 catches over 17 appearances last season. He totaled 547 catches for 6,252 yards and 44 scores over his first five seasons with the Lions.<\/p>\n

The fourth-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft is a four-time Pro Bowl selection and two-time first-team All-Pro. The Lions signed St. Brown to a four-year, $120 million contract extension in 2024.<\/p>\n

Lions veterans will report to training camp July 28 in Allen Park, Mich.<\/p>\n
