One victim, a 21-year-old woman, was left in critical condition.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">Police say the chaos unfolded just after 10:30 p.m. Saturday inside a courtyard at 2929 West 31st St.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">According to NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch, shots were fired through a fence and into the crowd. A firearm was later recovered at the scene.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">The four children who were wounded include a 6-year-old boy who was shot in the stomach, a 7-year-old boy struck in both legs, a 12-year-old boy shot in the leg and a 14-year-old boy shot in the thigh.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">All four children and four adults were rushed to nearby hospitals. The 21-year-old remains in critical condition.<\/p>\n<p data-rich-text-paragraph=\"true\">This is a developing story.
