Tiktok\/@ohana_nyc<\/p>\n The controversy-making comments were prompted by a question regarding the high cost of living in Manhattan \u2014\u00a0and the \u201cminimum\u201d amount of money residents should earn in order to keep a decent roof over their heads. Median monthly rents in the borough have recently soared to\u00a0a heartburn-giving $5,125<\/a>.<\/p>\n Screengrabs of the streetside chat quickly reached viral infamy, garnering over 16 million views \u2014\u00a0and heaps of scorn from a slew of TikTok tut-tutters, who angrily labeled the blond businesswoman \u201cout of touch\u201d and \u201cgross.\u201d<\/p>\n Shenker has previously told The Post that she works around the clock as a big business real estate agent in the city.
