Residents in Eastchester say they\u2019re on edge after police identified a man wanted in connection with the rape of two women on the same block, six months apart.<\/p>\n
According to police, 42-year-old Anthony Robinson is wanted for allegedly attacking two women on Boller Avenue in separate incidents.<\/p>\n
Investigators say the first attack happened just days before Thanksgiving, around 10 p.m., when Robinson allegedly raped a 30-year-old woman.<\/p>\n
Police say the second attack happened around 11 p.m. on May 6. In that case, Robinson is accused of punching and raping a 22-year-old woman.<\/p>\n
Neighbors have since posted flyers with Robinson\u2019s photo throughout the neighborhood, stapling them to utility poles and construction sites in hopes someone recognizes him.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe walked past him over there, so I had no idea he was this person,\u201d one resident said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s very concerning and alarming to actually know he lives this close to us, as a female, and I have a 13-year-old daughter,\u201d another neighbor said.<\/p>\n
The flyers list Robinson\u2019s last known address in the same neighborhood where police say both attacks occurred. News 12 knocked on the doors at that address, but no one answered.<\/p>\n
Sources tell News 12 Robinson is known to police and has four prior arrests, including criminal possession of a weapon, assault, burglary and reckless endangerment.<\/p>\n
Neighbors now say they\u2019re watching closely and hoping someone spots him before he can hurt anyone else.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe should be prosecuted to the fullest extent, because I don\u2019t think anyone should be abusing anyone, or even worse, women,\u201d one resident said.<\/p>\n
Police are urging anyone who sees Robinson – or knows where he may be – to call 911 immediately.
