(WIBW) &#8211; One person was taken to an area hospital while another person was arrested following a two-vehicle crash on Thursday evening in Manhattan, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The collision was reported around 5:33 p.m. Thursday in the 400 block of N. Martin Luther King Drive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Upon their arrival, Riley County police officers found that a 2008 Ford Econoline van driven by William Joseph Eichem, 46, of Manhattan, had collided with a 2025 Subaru Forrester driven by Teressa Chandler, 69, of Manhattan.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"One person was taken to an area hospital while another person was arrested following a...\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/1783699047_589_USU6LMJSURIUJHWNFMYQOE27AE.jpg\" width=\"980\" height=\"550\" \/>One person was taken to an area hospital while another person was arrested following a two-vehicle crash on Thursday evening in Manhattan, Riley County police officials said.(WIBW)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">There were two additional passengers in the Subaru, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Chandler was transported to Ascension Via Christi Hospital in Manhattan for treatment of her injuries. Chandler\u2019s condition wasn\u2019t immediately available on Friday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Eichem, meanwhile, was arrested and booked into the Riley County Jail in connection with driving while suspended and driving while a habitual violator. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Eichem was released from the Riley County Jail after posting a $3,000 bond, officials said.<\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WIBW.
