The news comes more than two years after the beloved venue was forced to close its original Greenpoint location.<\/p>\n<p>Since opening in 2011, Saint Vitus became a cornerstone of New York\u2019s heavy music scene. The intimate venue earned a reputation for hosting everything from rising underground bands to surprise performances by acts including Megadeth, Anthrax, and Gojira, making it a must-visit destination.<\/p>\n<p>The venue abruptly <a href=\"https:\/\/metalinsider.net\/photos\/metal-insider-stand-with-saint-vitus-reflecting-on-brooklyns-beloved-music-venue\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">closed in February 202<\/a>4 after the New York City Department of Buildings determined it lacked the permits required to operate as a live music venue. Although the original location was permanently shuttered, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saintvitusbar.com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Saint Vitus team<\/a> continued promoting concerts throughout the city under the Vitus Presents banner while searching for a new home.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement was made through the venue\u2019s social media channels on Friday, July 3rd, with a video featuring its mascot, G\u00fcnther, before revealing the new Bushwick address.<\/p>\n<p>Saint Vitus is expected to reopen in fall 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aioseo-author-bio-compact-image\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/53c160e8cc6e07459dbf550105526e37d521f5d263abaca935656bbcf00f4592.png\" alt=\"author avatar\"\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"One of New York City\u2019s most iconic metal venues is making its long-awaited return.
