{"id":292793,"date":"2026-07-10T22:28:33","date_gmt":"2026-07-10T22:28:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/292793\/"},"modified":"2026-07-10T22:28:33","modified_gmt":"2026-07-10T22:28:33","slug":"savor-the-bronx-kicks-off-week-of-dining-deals-at-40-local-restaurants-bronx-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/292793\/","title":{"rendered":"Savor the Bronx kicks off week of dining deals at 40 local restaurants \u2013 Bronx Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week, The Bronx Tourism Council is reintroducing Savor the Bronx, a week-long borough wide event to uplift restaurants throughout Bronx and encourage Bronxites to dine out in their community.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson said the week is meant to highlight local businesses.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to focus on tourism and highlight our diversity and highlight the restaurants that really make a difference in the rocks,\u201d Gibson said.\u00a0<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-146071\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/savor-the-bronx-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"467\"  \/>Photo by Lesley Cosme Torres\n<\/p>\n<p>The Savor the Bronx launch event was hosted last week at Drips Restaurant and Lounge, co-owned by Christopher Saunders and Duane Dunbar, who expressed a deep love for the borough\u2019s diversity.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo you could just walk one block, there\u2019ll be a Trinidadian, there\u2019ll be Jamaican, there\u2019ll be an African, there\u2019ll be Spanish, there\u2019ll be White. Everybody just in the same neighborhood, you know? Different types of food all over. I think the Bronx has the best food in all five boroughs, hands down,\u201d said Dunbar.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Savor the Bronx week lasts until Sunday July 12.
