{"id":293599,"date":"2026-07-12T02:15:20","date_gmt":"2026-07-12T02:15:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/293599\/"},"modified":"2026-07-12T02:15:20","modified_gmt":"2026-07-12T02:15:20","slug":"nyc-construction-boss-harasses-female-workers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/293599\/","title":{"rendered":"NYC construction boss harasses female workers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>What a meathead.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The founder of NYC construction materials testing and inspection company allegedly made perverted and racist comments to female staffers, asking one if she\u2019d ever had \u201cArmenian sausage,\u201d according to a federal lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>Two female ex-employees at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.twinpeaks.us\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Long Island City-based Twin Peaks<\/a> claim Jerry Agajian subjected them to unrelenting harassment until they were unfairly fired in April, they allege in the suit file Monday.<\/p>\n<p>There was no escape from Agajian\u2019s crude advances \u2014 as he would share \u201cvulgar\u201d details of his sex life and all the women he wanted to \u201cbang,\u201d the women said in the suit. <\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.50146628;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"39949266\" width=\"886\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/sunday-news-twin-peaks-construction-134012286.jpg\" alt=\"A photo of the Long Island City-based storefront. Google<\/p>\n<p>He referred to one of his victims, Ling Wang, a woman of Asian descent, as his \u201cChinese b\u2013ch,\u201d \u201cchopsticks\u201d and \u201ckung fu\u201d and the other, Karen Delara, who is of Dominican descent, as his \u201cDominican b\u2013ch\u201d and \u201cmachete girl,\u201d the suit said.<\/p>\n<p>Agajian, 73, would also make comments about wanting to have sex with both women \u2014 in and outside the office. They reluctantly agreed to meals with him out of fear for their jobs, they said in the lawsuit. Oftentimes, he became belligerently drunk, they added in the suit.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But they were in the office when Agajian approached Delara at her desk in February, looked down at his crotch and asked if she \u201cever tried Armenian sausage.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The women were abruptly axed on April 1 after they declined to meet him for dinner the night before, according to the suit.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He allegedly fired them the next day and told the entire office it was because they didn\u2019t go out to eat with him.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img style=\"aspect-ratio:1.49926794;display:block\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" data-modal-image=\"39949268\" width=\"885\" height=\"590\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/2001-outskirts-new-york-city-134012236.jpg\" alt=\"A photo of construction being down with workers. \" class=\"wp-image-39949268\"  \/>Twin Peaks, a construction materials testing and inspections company, holds prominent contracts with the city.
