Keith Urban wasn\u2019t phased by some mid-show comments. The country star recently played a surprise set on the NYC Ferry, and took some playful ribbing from the crowd.<\/p>\n
Urban is currently promoting his latest album, a yacht rock LP called Flow State. <\/p>\n

One song he covered on the project was \u201cJust the Two of Us,\u201d and an audience member requested to hear the 1981 tune, which was originally recorded by Grover Washington Jr. and Bill Withers.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe haven\u2019t done that in a while,\u201d Urban said as he looked at his bandmates. \u201cThis might be the second time we\u2019ve done it.\u201d<\/p>\n
One man in the crowd wasn\u2019t pleased to hear that. <\/p>\n
\u201cDon\u2019t mess it up!\u201d he shouted.<\/p>\n
Urban took to teasing well, as he stated with a laugh, \u201cDon\u2019t mess it up? Really? No doubt. It\u2019s a tough crowd, man. I mean, people leave if we don\u2019t play well. So, you know, pressure\u2019s on.\u201d<\/p>\n
The woman who requested the song didn\u2019t intend put pressure on Urban, so she assured the singer, \u201cIt doesn\u2019t have to be good.\u201d <\/p>\n
\u201cYou are in luck,\u201d Urban quipped. \u201cMan, have we got a version for you.\u201d<\/p>\n

Many fans expressed surprise over Urban\u2019s move to yacht rock, and the singer himself admitted that he did not see it coming either. <\/p>\n
\u201cIt was not expected,\u201d Urban told Lara Spencer ahead of his CMA Fest set. \u201cWe were just having fun playing music. Two songs became three, became five, and then over three or four months we ended up making a whole album.\u201d<\/p>\n
As for why he decided to pursue the genre, Urban explained, \u201cIt\u2019s inclusive. It\u2019s a big exhale. It brings everybody together. We need that right now.\u201d<\/p>\n
When it comes to what\u2019s next in his career, Urban is staying open to all possibilities.<\/p>\n
