{"id":294558,"date":"2026-07-13T16:46:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-13T16:46:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/294558\/"},"modified":"2026-07-13T16:46:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-13T16:46:08","slug":"new-statewide-campaign-to-teach-youth-families-about-cannabis","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/294558\/","title":{"rendered":"New statewide campaign to teach youth, families about cannabis"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NEW YORK STATE (WRGB) \u2014 New York State has launched a campaign to educate youth and families about cannabis.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign is called \u201cCannabis Honestly.\u201d State leaders say the goal is to provide facts while addressing misinformation.<\/p>\n<p>It will include videos, guides, educational tools and downloadable materials in English and Spanish.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cbs6albany.com\/news\/local\/upstate-canna-co-opens-first-retail-recreational-marijuana-dispensary-in-capital-region\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">PREVIOUS: Upstate Canna Co opens, first retail recreational marijuana dispensary in Capital Region<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The state says the materials will also help healthcare providers, along with educators, youth-serving organizations, coaches and other trusted adults.<\/p>\n<p>The state says 23 listening sessions were held across the state and more than 450 people gave input.<\/p>\n<p>This all comes as the cannabis market in New York State expands.<\/p>\n<p>New York State legalized adult-use cannabis in March 2021.
