Buffalo, NY\u2014The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens is offering a reduced admission price of just $7.16 in honor of the community-wide celebration of 716 Day on Thursday, July 16. The live Butterfly Experience is included with the reduced admission and will be open all day from from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Tickets for\u00a0the Butterfly Experience are on sale now at buffalogardens.com. The Butterfly Experience is presented by M&T Bank<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Butterfly\u00a0Experience<\/a>\u00a0will be available to enjoy at a discounted admission price of just $7.16 in honor of the community-wide celebration of 716 Day<\/a>. The Butterfly Experience is included with admission and welcomes visitors near and far to immerse themselves into the winged world of\u00a0butterflies\u00a0inside the Botanical Gardens’ historic conservatory. Visitors will be able to get up close and personal with a flock of live\u00a0butterflies, flying high, low, here and there. The experience allows the public to be surrounded by hundreds of\u00a0butterflies\u00a0that are native to the continental United States to capture the beauty and magic of the\u00a0butterflies\u00a0while also learning about the important role that pollinators play in their ecosystems. The experience will be open from 10:00am to 4:00pm on Thursday, July 16 and is open daily through July 26, 2026.<\/p>\n
Pre-purchased tickets are highly recommended. The Butterfly Experience is free for\u00a0Botanical Gardens members, but all attendees must have a ticket. The overall visit time is expected to be between 1-1.5\u00a0hours. The expected time in the\u00a0butterfly\u00a0space is approximately 15 minutes, though guests are welcome to re-enter the butterfly house as many times as they would like during their visit. This window provides plenty of time to see the\u00a0butterflies\u00a0and capture the magic of this special experience with candid photos and selfies. While touching and holding the\u00a0butterflies\u00a0is not permitted, there is a chance that they briefly land onto visitors making\u00a0for\u00a0an exciting photo opportunity. The Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens also notes that their\u00a0butterflies\u00a0are sourced from USDA certified\u00a0butterfly\u00a0farms\u00a0in Florida, Kentucky, and South Carolina. Their\u00a0butterflies\u00a0have been\u00a0raised\u00a0specifically\u00a0for\u00a0educational purposes. Tickets on 716 Day are just $7.16 for both Adults and Kids on Thursday, July 16. All other days through the experience, tickets are $21 for\u00a0adults, $19 for\u00a0students and seniors (62+), $9.50\u00a0for\u00a0kids ages 3-12, and kids 2 and under and Botanical Gardens members are free but must have a ticket.\u00a0<\/p>\n
