Queens Of The Stone Age<\/a> are heading back to Australia \u2013 and they\u2019re not coming empty-handed.<\/p>\n

The Josh Homme-led rock giants have announced a six-date Australian arena and outdoor tour for December 2026, arriving alongside the surprise release of \u2018Easy Street\u2019, the band\u2019s first new music since 2023\u2019s In Times New Roman\u2026.<\/p>\n

Joining QOTSA on the run are alternative rock legends Primus<\/a> and one of Australia\u2019s most uncompromising live acts, Tropical Fuck Storm<\/a>, making for one of the strongest touring lineups of the year.<\/p>\n

The Australian leg will kick off in Adelaide before visiting Hobart, Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane, marking the band\u2019s first local shows since their acclaimed 2024 visit.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Easy Street offers fans a taste of the band\u2019s next creative chapter. The laid-back, psychedelic slow-burn was first road-tested during last year\u2019s intimate Catacombs performances<\/a> and finally arrives in studio form today.<\/p>\n

Featuring guest vocals from Nikki Lane, the track leans into loose, organic musicianship, with Josh Homme deliberately embracing imperfections throughout the recording.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s kind of a funny song,\u201d Homme explains. \u201cIt\u2019s like hitting your funny bone, where it\u2019s funny because it hurts and it hurts because it\u2019s funny. You\u2019re serious, but it\u2019s funny.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe made it the way you\u2019d make a demo. No click track, mistakes left in. It speeds up, it slows down, the claps aren\u2019t great, but they\u2019re not bad, and a bad clap adds this human thing you can\u2019t fake.\u201d<\/p>\n

For Homme, that\u2019s exactly the point: \u201cIt\u2019s not just about silliness. It\u2019s about understanding the imperfection of your life. The song, like your life, is in the mistakes. Its imperfections are unbeatable.\u201d<\/p>\n

The accompanying music video sees a bruised and bloodied Homme attempting to evade an increasingly bizarre collection of pursuers \u2013 including his own bandmates dressed as a Juggalo, a shopping centre Santa, a leather enthusiast and a cowboy leading an improbably tiny horse \u2013 before delivering an ending that celebrates society\u2019s outsiders rather than mocking them.<\/p>\n

Queens Of The Stone Age are currently touring Europe with System Of A Down, before heading to North America later this year alongside Foo Fighters.<\/p>\n
