Vienna-born, New York-based performer AK
\n Naderer will\u00a0make her Broadway debut in\u00a0Moulin Rouge! The Musical<\/a> later this month at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre.<\/p>\n

Naderer will step into\u00a0the role of Nini\u2014a part she originated in the Cologne, Germany, production before playing the role in the musical’s North American tour\u2014beginning July 17. She will succeed\u00a0Samantha Dodemaide<\/a>, who recently\u00a0played her final performance in the role.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Also an emerging
\nchoreographer, Naderer is currently working as associate choreographer to
\nFabian Aloise<\/a> on We Will Rock You and associate choreographer to Melissa King on West Side Story.<\/p>\n

The Broadway production of Moulin Rouge! The Musical will end its celebrated run August 30.<\/p>\n

The production is directed by Alex Timbers<\/a> with a book by John Logan<\/a>
\n(based on the Baz Luhrmann-directed movie of the same name) and
\nchoreography by Sonya Tayeh<\/a>. The score features covers of “Firework” by
\nKaty Perry, “Your Song” by Elton
\n John, and “Chandelier” by Sia, among many other modern pop songs. The
\nstory takes place at Paris’ famed Moulin Rouge and follows the tragic
\nlove story between performer Satine and composer Christian.<\/p>\n

The production’s music team includes musical supervisor Justin
\nLevine, music producer Matt Stine<\/a>, and music director Andrew Graham<\/a>.
\nOrchestrations are by Levine, Stine, Katie Kresek<\/a>, and Charlie Rosen<\/a>,
\nwith dance arrangements by Levine and Stine.<\/p>\n

Also on the creative team are scenic designer Derek McLane<\/a>, costume
\ndesigner Catherine Zuber<\/a>, lighting designer Justin Townsend<\/a>, sound
\ndesigner Peter Hylenski<\/a>, hair designer David Brian Brown<\/a>, and makeup
\ndesigner Sarah Cimino<\/a>, with creative services by Luhrmann and Catherine
\nMartin. Casting is by Jim Carnahan<\/a> and Stephen Kopel<\/a>. Star casting is by Whitley Theatrical<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In addition to Best Musical, the production won Tonys for Best
\nPerformance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical (Aaron Tveit<\/a>), Best
\nPerformance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Musical (Danny Burstein<\/a>), Best
\n Choreography (Tayeh), Best Direction of a Musical (Timbers), Best
\nOrchestrations (Levine, Kresek, Rosen, and Stine), Best Scenic Design of
\n a Musical (McLane), Best Costume Design of a Musical (Zuber), Best
\nLighting Design of a Musical (Townsend), and Best Sound Design of a
\nMusical (Hylenski).<\/p>\n

Having performed to over 12 million audience members across 15 productions worldwide, Moulin Rouge! is also currently playing North America on a national tour,
\n in London\u2019s West End, Germany, Korea, The Netherlands, a world tour, and
