Queens Of The Stone Age have released their first single in three years, Easy Street.<\/p>\n
Opening with soft acoustic guitar strums and echoing handclaps, the mellow track blends the American band’s hazy, psych-rock sound with subtle country influences while\u00a0Josh Homme duets with\u00a0country singer Nikki Lane, whose 2022 album ‘Denim & Diamonds’ was produced by the frontman. Homme explained:<\/p>\n
“It\u2019s kind of a funny song. It\u2019s like hitting your funny bone, where it\u2019s funny because it hurts and it hurts because it\u2019s funny. You\u2019re serious, but it\u2019s funny. We made it the way you\u2019d make a demo. No click track, mistakes left in. It speeds up, it slows down, the claps aren\u2019t great, but they\u2019re not bad, and a bad clap adds this human thing you can\u2019t fake.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s not just about silliness. It\u2019s about understanding the imperfection of your life. The song, like your life, is in the mistakes. Its imperfections are unbeatable.\u201d<\/p>\n
The song marks the band’s first new music since the release of 2023’s ‘In Times New Roman…’, though it was first premiered live last year during their\u00a0Catacombs Tour, supporting their 2025 ‘Alive In The Catacombs’ concert film and EP.\u00a0Head below to view the video, which was directed by The Armed\u2019s Tony Wolski and Christopher Gruse and shows Homme being chased down “Easy Street” by a cowboy, a Juggalo, a Santa Claus and more.<\/p>\n
Queens Of The Stone Age are currently touring Europe and the UK with Acid Bath supporting\u00a0System Of A Down<\/a> and play the second of two shows at London’s Tottenham Hotspur\u00a0Stadium tonight (July 15). Next month, they’ll head back to North America to support Foo Fighters<\/a> on the Take Cover Tour\u00a0before playing newly announced dates in Japan and Singapore, and Australia and New Zealand with Primus and Tropical Fuck Storm\u00a0before the end of the year. Tickets for their dates Down Under go on genral sale at 11am local time on July 20, while tickets for the shows in Asia go on sale at 10am local time on August 1.<\/p>\n

He also appears\u00a0on\u00a0Shania Twain’s latest single, Faded Blue Jeans<\/a>, from\u00a0the country superstar’s new album, ‘Little Miss Twain’, due out next Friday (July 24).<\/p>\n
