A dominate tower begins to emerge at what will eventually become the next generation of Twin Towers in New York City, this time in Brooklyn. The superstructure is just over 25% complete on the north tower, with the south tower trailing slightly behind.<\/p>\n

\u00a0280 Kent is the final component of a massive five-part masterplan and reimagining of the former Domino Sugar Refinery, by Two Trees Management<\/a>. The design team is lead by REX<\/a>, and notable elements of the design include a podium wrapped in undulating floor to ceiling glass curtain wall, and balconies with oculus penetrations.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Once completed, the pair of towers will stretch approximately 600′ high and provide 1,262 residential units with 12,230 SF of commercial space within the 50-story structures. The project site last housed a 2-story marine distribution building for the former sugar refinery; that structure was demolished over a decade ago in 2014.<\/p>\n
