Resorts World today announced the 28 nonprofit or\u00adganizations selected to receive $10,000 grants through its \u201cA Day of Giving\u201d initiative.<\/p>\n

Resorts World today an\u00adnounced the 28 nonprofit or\u00adganizations selected to receive $10,000 grants through its \u201cA Day of Giv\u00ading\u201d initiative, a commitment of $250,000 in honor of America\u2019s 250th anniversary that grew to $280,000 when each property added a bonus grant of its own, making a meaningful impact in com\u00admunities across New York State.<\/p>\n

Created to commemorate the 250th anniversary of American independence, the initiative celebrates the spirit of service by investing di\u00adrectly in the nonprofit organ\u00adizations that strengthen neighborhoods, expand op\u00adportunity and improve the lives of New Yorkers every day.<\/p>\n

More than 400 nonprofit organizations from across the state applied through an open call for the grants. Recipients were selected through a ran\u00addom drawing across Resorts World\u2019s three New York regions, and with so many de\u00adserving organizations, Resorts World couldn\u2019t stop at 25. Each of the company\u2019s three properties awarded one additional grant, bringing the total to 28 organizations and $280,000: sixteen in the New York City region, six in the Hudson Valley and six in the Catskills, each receiving $10,000.<\/p>\n

The grants build on Resorts World\u2019s longstanding commitment to giving back through its RW Gives program. Since 2011, RW has invested millions of dollars in hun\u00addreds of nonprofit organizations while matching employee charitable donations dollar for dollar. Across its three New York properties, Resorts World has also contributed more than $5 billion to New York State\u2019s public education fund, making it one of the state\u2019s largest contributors to education.<\/p>\n

The recipients of the 2026 \u201cA Day of Giving\u201d grants in New York City are: Witness to Mass Incarceration, Veterans Daddy Daughter Dance Inc., Ridgewood Jazz Fest Inc., Academy of Medicine of Queens County, Inc., United Cultural Association, Winter For Kids, Our Neighborhood Civic Association of Ozone Park, RISE Up Inc., The Perfect Piece of the Puzzle, Women on Wheels, 718 Recreation Center, Visionarwe Health Adult Social Servies, Practical Knowledge, Center for the Integration and Advancement of New Americans, Inc., The Blue Bus Project, and Dominic A.
