Josh Homme<\/a> is set to make an appearance on Celebrity Gogglebox.<\/p>\n

The reality show sees a host of famous faces \u201csharing their sharp, insightful and funny points of view\u201d as they watch various TV programmes, news broadcasts and films. Season eight is currently airing on Channel 4, with episodes being broadcast every Friday.<\/p>\n

Today (Thursday July 16), it\u2019s been confirmed that Queens Of The Stone Age<\/a> frontman Homme will feature on tomorrow night\u2019s edition (Friday July 17).<\/p>\n

He\u2019ll be sharing the sofa with Scissor Sisters<\/a> singer and actor Jake Shears<\/a>, his longtime friend and former collaborator. Homme made a cameo appearance in the video for Shears\u2019 2018 solo song \u2018Big Bushy Mustache\u2019<\/a>, with the latter later contributing to Homme\u2019s \u2018Desert Sessions\u2026\u2019<\/a> album.<\/p>\n

\u201cMeet friends (and rock legends) Jake and Josh,\u201d reads an announcement post, containing a preview picture of the pair in front of the television.<\/p>\n

Celebrity Gogglebox continues at 9pm BST on Channel 4 tomorrow. The new episode will be available to stream on-demand via Channel 4\u2019s official streaming platform<\/a> shortly afterwards.<\/p>\n

The current series of Celebrity Gogglebox has also featured regulars Shaun Ryder<\/a> and Bez<\/a> from Happy Mondays<\/a>, as well as former Radio 1 DJ Fearne Cotton, Spandau Ballet<\/a>\u2018s Martin Kemp, and The Inbetweeners<\/a> star James Buckley.<\/p>\n

Other musicians to have appeared on the show in previous years include Liam<\/a> and Noel Gallagher<\/a>, Yungblud<\/a>, Self Esteem<\/a>, Mel C<\/a>, Sam Ryder<\/a> and Tom Grennan<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Homme\u2019s episode comes on the heels of Queens Of The Stone Age returning with \u2018Easy Street\u2019<\/a> \u2013 their first new single since 2023 album \u2018In Times New Roman\u2026\u2019<\/a>. The band had\u00a0debuted the song live last autumn as part of their \u2018Catacombs\u2019 tour<\/a>.<\/p>\n

QOTSA are currently opening for\u00a0System Of A Down on their UK and European stadium tour<\/a>. The two groups played at London\u2019s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday (July 13)<\/a>, ahead of a second show at the venue on Wednesday (July 15).<\/p>\n

Earlier on the trek, Homme and co. dusted off some deep cuts from their 2007 album \u2018Era Vulgaris\u2019<\/a>, including the first airing of \u2018Run, Pig, Run\u2019 since 2008.<\/p>\n

The band will open for Foo Fighters on the North American leg of their \u2018Take Cover\u2019 stadium tour<\/a>\u00a0later this summer.\u00a0QOTSA have announced their first Icelandic show since 2005 for this October<\/a>, too.<\/p>\n

They played a\u00a0stripped-back concert at the historic Parisian Catacombs back in 2024<\/a>, which was captured for\u00a0an accompanying concert film<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0live album<\/a>.\u00a0NME\u00a0gave\u00a0Alive In The Catacombs\u00a0a four-star review<\/a>, hailing it as a \u201cmoving and meditative concert doc\u201d.<\/p>\n

In 2024,\u00a0Homme promised to \u201croll his sleeves up\u201d so that the fans wouldn\u2019t have to wait so long for Queens Of The Stone Age\u2019s next record<\/a>. There was a six-year gap between 2017\u2019s\u00a0\u2018Villains\u2019<\/a>\u00a0and \u2018In Times New Roman\u2026\u2019.<\/p>\n

Homme and bandmate Dean Fertita had previously spoken to NME\u00a0in late 2023 about the group, their personal battles and plans for the future<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think we should be making something,\u201d Homme explained at the time. \u201cThe mantra of the last five years was, \u2018It won\u2019t be long now!\u2019 That needs to pertain to making things too.
