Hourly Forecast<\/a> |\u00a0Interactive Radar<\/a><\/p>\n Around NYC<\/p>\n 1.\u00a0Mayor opts out of city\u2019s matching funds program<\/a><\/p>\n The next mayoral election may be three years away, but Mayor Zohran Mamdani is already at work raising campaign cash for his reelection, and yesterday he confirmed he will opt out of the city\u2019s matching funds program \u2014 a move that immediately came under fire from good-government groups.<\/p>\n Mamdani won last year’s mayoral race with the help of the program, which matches small-dollar donations from city residents $8-to-$1 with public funds.<\/p>\n 2.\u00a0Funeral held for former college basketball player killed in Harlem shooting<\/a><\/p>\n The funeral for Brooklyn native Kinu Rochford was standing room only at a mosque on the corner of Bedford Avenue and Fulton Street.\u00a0<\/p>\n Hundreds of people \u2014 from all faith backgrounds \u2014 attended to show their love for Rochford.
