The City of Brooklyn Park\u2019s adaptive recreation department and Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute helped organize the event. This is the first time they\u2019ve hosted this type of clinic.<\/p>\n<p>Annika Allen, community engagement coordinator with Courage Kenny, said the activities and games are adapted on a kid-by-kid basis.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think today\u2019s clinic is a prime example of how many sports and recreation activities out there can be adapted for everyone\u2019s abilities,\u201d Allen said. \u201cWe really just want to continue to spread the joys and benefits that people can get from sports and recreation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ccxmedia.org\/news\/brooklyn-parks-adaptive-ultimate-frisbee-clinic-appeals-to-all-abilities\/attachment\/adaptive-ultimate-frisbee-a-svo-ns-gfx-20260718\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-204882 follow noopener noreferrer nofollow\" data-wpel-link=\"internal\" target=\"_self\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-204882\" class=\"wp-image-204882 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us-ny\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/ADAPTIVE-ULTIMATE-FRISBEE-A-SVO-NS-GFX-20260718.jpg\" alt=\"girl with short hair and glasses throws a frisbee\" width=\"1600\" height=\"900\"  \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-204882\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Claire Murphy throws a frisbee in one of the drills.<\/p>\n<p>Kids ran drills and played a short game with the professional players.<\/p>\n<p>Claire Murphy, who lives in Brooklyn Center, took part. She said its nice having a camp like this so close to home.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI like to throw it in the target, and it\u2019s a really good experience,\u201d Murphy said.<\/p>\n<p>This program is a part of Brooklyn Park\u2019s Adaptive Rec Friday series.
